Since we are studying Shakespeare, this month’s extra credit wants itself to relate to poetry. 
For 20 points, write an original sonnet and read it for the class.
Instead of a Shakespearean sonnet, honors students must first look up the difference between Shakspearean and Petrarchan sonnets; then write a Petrarchan sonnet and read it for the class. Before reading it for the class, each honors student must explain the difference between the two types of sonnets.
